Jason Bruhn, an engineer at SCJ Alliance in Lacey, led the Thurston County contest held at Saint Martin’s University and has volunteered as the chapter coordinator for the past 18 years on behalf of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Individual Champion Eric Esko sophomore Eric Wetherbee was the 2009/2010 Polar Division individual champion. Following a week of exceptional competition at the National Speech & Debate Tournament in Dallas, TX, 31 high students across 11 states have been crowned 2019 Champions, winning more than 100,000.
